We aim to support adults of ALL abilities in learning life skills, engaging in the community, and having a social outlet.

Problem

When people with IDDs turn 21, they no longer have an individualized education plan (IEP) outlining their services and needs. Applying for adult services can be time consuming, and result in waiting years to access services.

Solution

Our program offers life skills classes, self advocacy seminars, and fun activities for ALL, including adults that are waiting for longer-term services!

Problem

As people with IDDs get older, there are less opportunities for community engagement, socializing, and learning.

Solution

Our events offer a safe space for people with and without IDDs to interact, make friends, and learn new skills!

Solution

Many of our programs emphasize different life skills so adults with IDDs are able to live as independently as they desire.

Problem

Adults with IDDs have different situations they need to navigate from when they were children, such as health insurance, day habilitation, supportive decision making, and job development.

Problem

Many people in Rochester don't know how to best support or work with individuals with IDDs.

Solution

We host integrated activities for people with and without disabilities to promote inclusion and acceptance.

Problem

People and families with IDDs are often unaware of their rights, autonomy, and services they are eligible for.

Solution

We offer seminars and activities emphasizing self advocacy and supportive decision making.

We set out to offer support to adults with IDDs as they face a new, unique set of challenges into adulthood.
